Bike and Barge

Image
The Germ of an Idea Ironically, the genesis of this "seaside flatland" adventure arose while cycling at 1280 metres in the Monashee Mountains in BC. Biking the Myra Canyon Railway Trail near Kelowna  with my cousins was a welcomed assault on the senses. Crossing over 18 trestles and through 2 solid rock tunnels while surrounded by majestic mountains on a warm 2025 July afternoon made for a swivelling neck topped by a bobblehead. Things became complicated when two cousins related their experiences on a Bike and Barge tour from Amsterdam to Bruges. Windmills and boats began to insert themselves into my vision of the mountain scapes. I had to push these visions away so as to get the full impact of the here and now on Okanagan Mountain. But I filed them away for future reference and continued to inhale the majesty of BC nature. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SD9cGH6inbRtZLcUBg8C4wmOp13yufMM/view?usp=sharing
